It’s the end of the world as we know it..so it’s time for a film fight. Asteroids, nuclear weapons, mass hysteria & destruction, and Bruce Willis…now that’s what we call a quality movie. These two flicks just beg to be matched against each other. If you remember correctly, they both came out within a few months of each other, but it’s never really been determined which movie was the better film. Well now’s the time to settle it once and for all.
Deep Impact - Unless a comet can be destroyed before colliding with Earth, only those allowed into shelters will survive. Which people will survive? It’s up to a courageous team of astronauts to save the world..do they have what it takes?
vs.
Armageddon - When an asteroid the size of Texas is headed for Earth the world’s best deep core drilling team is sent to nuke the rock from the inside. Once again it’s up to a courageous team of astronauts to get up there, destroy the asteroid, and save the day.
Top Gun vs. Iron Eagle
It’s a high flying film fight with the favorite Top Gun matched against dog fighting sensation Iron Eagle. Ok, we already know what your thinking…How in the world could Iron Eagle compete with the glory that is ‘Top Gun’…but there are some loyal Iron Eagle / Louis Gossett Jr. fans out there and this should be a great match up. Yeah TG has Mr. Cruise and Val Kilmer, but how can you beat Doug Masters rockin his tunes at 30,000 feet in a stolen F-16 fighter jet?
Top Gun - Tom Cruise is the macho students of an elite US Flying school for advanced fighter pilots compete to be best in the class, but after a horrible flying accident, and the death of his co-pilot, does Maverick have what it takes to bounce back and become the best fighter pilot in the world?
vs.
Iron Eagle - When Doug Masters’ father, an Air Force Pilot, is shot down by MiGs belonging to a radical Middle Eastern state, Doug rallies his gang of Air Force brats and an old retired Colonel to put a plan together to fly over and save his father from impending execution.

How can you even pick between these two blockbuster action flicks? Arnold & Stallone were the action 80’s action junke hero’s, so trying to pick one as a winner just comes down to personal taste. Let’s face it, Commando does have young Alyssa Milano & Rae Dawn Chong supporting, but First Blood gets help from Brian Dennehy and Richard Crenna. So which is the better action flick?
Commando - A retired elite commando has only a few hours to find and rescue his daughter from an exiled dictator.
